Oct. 06, 2006 This July Scary B.O.O.M. took a part in Altomonte Rock Festival (Italy) and became the first Russian band that won the 1st prize on a European rock festival. Oct. 07, 2006 Scary B.O.O.M. will celebrate this triumph on an Italian party in Manhatten club (SPb). Oct. 20, 2005 We are going to play two gigs in Finland! 23.11 in Red Neck (Juvaskila) and 25.11 in On The Rocks (Helsinki). Our special Finnish support is a very new and very special psykopop band with female vocal – Miss Treatment! Recently on the Franch label Pure & Proud records has been relased the new Scary B.O.O.M.'s album "Danke, Auf Wiedersehen!" (CD, LP). We are going to play two gigs dedicated to that long-awaited event... The first one in Moscow on February the 22th (Krymskie kanikuli club, Kakhovskaya metrostation, Malaya Yushunskaya 1/1, hotel “Berlin” (095) 319-83-98, ) with the bands Stressor, The Beat Devils Band, Hellstompers and the second one in St. Petersburg on March the 19th (Moloko club, Ploshad Alexandra Nevskogo metrostation, Perekupnoy pereulok, 12, (812) 274-94-67). >> More info about the album. Apr. 23, 2003 On April 20, 2003 Kinorock Festival, featuring videos of independent rock bands, took place in St. Petersburg. Over 70 videos were shown, and the jury selected 30 to participate in the contest. "The Heart of the Abyss" video ("The Food of the Gods" by Scary B.O.O.M.) earned the most nominations: Mikhail Morozov as Best Actor for his part as Little Cinema Man, Best Script, Best Video. The group's frontman Kirill Ermichev, who scripted and directed the video, won a prize for Best Script. In his speech he thanked everyone who supported the project and took part in the shooting: Mr. Munetoshi Takagi, Head of Revel Yell Music, Captain of the Aurora Cruiser, Sergei Saprunov, Director of King&Ivy Pub, Ilya Obumov, Rodion Suchkov, Lena and Phillip of Poachers psychoband, Dmitry Sakharov cameramen. In the end of September Scary B.O.O.M. in cooperation with a popular Russian writer Ilya Stogoff are going to release on Kap-Kan Records (St.Petersburg) a new CD that will present a kind of a "literary-musical composition", a soundtrack to his latest bestseller "Machos Don't Cry". The text read by the author's voice is complemented with our songs. A part of them is from "The Food of The Gods" album. The others are recorded especially for this project. An original scarybilly version of "Get Off Of My Cloud" with the new lyrics, a speed cosmo-psycho-hit "The First In Space" (but its lyrics are not about Yury Gagarin) and a song entitled "Danke, Auf Wiedersehen" that presents the new direction of our crazy search for the original scarybilly sound. A large Scary B.O.O.M.'s interview was included to the new issue of french fanzin Psycho To The Bone. March, 22 Alexander Loginov who has played double bass in Scary B.O.O.M. for about 12 months (I still can't believe we could stand him so long) was discharged. We couldn't get along with him after he had upset two our gigs. April We began to rehearse some of our early written songs. One of them is our speed psycho hit The First In The Space, another one is the song we used to finish our gigs with - Get Off Of My Cloud performed in the original scarybilly version. Andrew Dookin and Pavel Galkin are back to Scary B.O.O.M. again... Soon we are going to record a demo and try our luck with it. Two new and very positive reviews on The Food Of The Gods has been out recently. The first was published in the Deathrow (UK) the second on The Rock'n'Roll Purgatory website (USA). Soon they will be translated for the russian part of www.scaryboom.com. May The video for the Winter Lullaby is finished. That composition is going to be presented on the new Scully Records compilation. Crocodile Hunting will be used on the Rock'n'Roll Purgatory compilation that is going to be out in August. Also that song will be used in a soundtrack to a Ilya Stogoff new book. 25 February we are going to take a part in a "Petersburg Invasion" festival produced by Alexander Meleshkin who is "Uchites Plavat" alternative music movement coordinator.
